[Participants List]

The intention of NWUML is to bring together researchers and Ph.D. students in the fields of software modeling, including model-based  development methods and tools in general and UML-based modeling in particular. NWUML intends to be an open forum with ample time set aside for panels and discussions. The workshop intends to function as a platform for establishing co-operative researchprojects between the participants in the region.

Topics of interest include:

* Model-based development methods
* Model Driven Architecture and Model Driven Engineering approaches
* Domain-specific modeling
* Model transformation
* Model synthesis
* Code generation from models
* Reverse engineering into models

The above topic will be viewed from a general model driven engineering perspective and from the perspective of using UML as a basic modeling  language.

The past workshops in this series were organized in Ronneby, Sweden (2003) and Turku, Finland (2004).

Two presentation sessions are planned:

* General on MDE and
* UML in Model Driven Engineering

followed by two working discussion sessions on the identified topics.
