Multimodal Interaction Research Group

Our aim is to do research in the advantages of new interaction technologies and to combine their benefits. We carry out basic research in haptic interaction and auditory feedback. The technologies are used multimodally to support a common goal in selected domains, as in a multimodal information kiosk. In another theme several modalities are used redundantly to implement a multimodal user interface for the visually disabled people. Our research combines the constructive and empirical research methods. Based on the empirical findings and logical deduction we also aim at developing models to rationalize interaction design.
